Used Paperback Books Prices
Most used paperbacks are priced at half of the original U.S. price.
All other used books are priced on the front cover with a white Book Shop sticker.
Used Hardcover Books Prices
New release used hardcovers are priced at half of the original U.S. price.
All other used hardcover books are priced on the front cover with a white Book Shop sticker.
Other Used Item Prices
Used Audio Books: $5.00 to $15.00
Used LP Albums: $5.00 each
Used DVD Movies: $5.00 each
Used Jigsaw Puzzles: $5.00 to $15.00

We are always looking for quality used books, LPs, movie DVDs and jigsaw puzzles. If you have questions about whether we would be interested in your books or other items, please feel free to call us at 252-240-1163.
You do not have to call ahead to bring books in for used book credit;
we are happy to look at books any day of the week.
However, if you have a large quantity of books or items,
please limit drop off to 2 -3 boxes** at a time if possible.
This allows us to process your items quickly and efficiently.
If you have more than 2-3 boxes**, please call us to make arrangements.
Drop off during normal business hours.
** Please use appropriate and non-returnable boxes or containers when you bring in books or other items. Once you drop off items, no containers or items will be returned.
All items that you drop off will be evaluated for condition.
- We DO NOT accept books that are wet, soiled, dirty, ripped, damaged, or have an offensive odor.
- We DO NOT accept: text books, library books, Reader's Digest, Book Club Editions, magazines, series romance (Harlequin, Regency, Silhouette) greater than a year old from today's date.
- Hardcover books MUST have dust jackets.
- Unfortunately, at this time, we are unable to evaluate any antique books. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.
NOTE:
Any large quantity of books that you drop off will be evaluated as time permits. During busy periods, this could take up to several days depending on the amount you drop off.
Used Book Credit
Used books, LPs, movies DVDs, audio books CDs, & jigsaw puzzles
may be traded in for used book credit
that can be applied towards the purchase of other USED items.
Used book credit is figured at 40% of our sale price.
When applying used book credit,
customers are responsible for paying a MINIMUM of 10%
of their total purchase price, plus sales tax.
This amount MUST be paid for by cash, check, or credit card.
If you have any remaining used book credit at the end of your transaction, you will receive a blue Book Shop credit ticket. We do not keep any records of used book credit balances.
USED BOOK CREDIT CANNOT BE USED TO PURCHASE ANY NEW OR BARGAIN ROOM MERCHANDISE.
*** We reserve the right to refuse any used items. **
